Gabbing With Gays (Zach Rothman-Hicks & Andre Knights)
“Prompt ‘n Play” is an interactive playspace for all, providing multiple opportunities for the public to tap into a joyous sense of imagination and play as they engage with our piece. We will present a range of interactive possibilities, such as drawing and writing with chalk, creating portraits with paint, sharpies and transparent surfaces, making shapes with bubbles, and engaging in the “Just Like Me” meditation, which cultivates empathy for oneself and others. We hope that “Prompt ‘n Play” can create a serene utopia for both participants and passerby alike.

About the Artist(s)
Zach Rothman-Hicks is an educator, professor, and conceptual artist. André Knights is a Health and Wellness Instructor and certified LMT. They have presented work at cultural and community organizations in New York City, Vienna, and Berlin, such as Stretch Fest, EuroGames, Chashama, Art in Odd Places, Queens Public Library, Easton Mountain, Culture Lab, Elmocr, Hunters Point Park Conservancy, and Queens Public Library. They aim to create workshops and performances which provide opportunities to nourish community, build empathy, and strengthen resilience.
