We walk through the streets not conscious of the patterns and stories that are already there. Indelible Lines is a site-specific performance and installation mapping the invisible history. By projecting blueprints onto local trash, the project focuses on the tension between utopian planning and the contemporary residue of the city. The rhythm of the city street has been conditioned by space, politics, and trade, but most of all by people using it every day, leaving little traces of their movement. The performance will start with collecting objects and trash from the location, and building an installation to project the old blueprints onto.

Sara Kostić is an interdisciplinary artist working across performance, visual art, and architecture. Her work approaches architecture not only as built form but as an instrument of power, organizing movement, visibility, and control. The body is both subject and object of movement within it, telling it’s own story of resistance.
