Polina Porras Sivolobova
Mi pedazo de casa is a participatory street procession that brings together immigrant community members, cherished everyday objects, handmade masks, movement, and live norteño music. Inspired by Mexican processions and celebrations, the performance moves between walking, dancing, and stillness. Audiences are invited to look for the personal stories carried through objects, the transformation of ordinary belongings into symbols of home, and the shifting atmosphere between celebration, tenderness, protest, and ritual.
With the participation of Norteño music band “Directos de la Sierra” and “Ballet Folclorico Guadalupano y Sangre Mexicana” (Guadalupano and Sangre Mexicana Mexican Dance Company).

Polina Porras has carried altars through city streets, made books with strangers, and performed rituals in public spaces from New York to Mexico and beyond. She is a multidisciplinary artist working across performance, puppetry, drawing, artist books, and installation. Her work explores migration, belonging, ritual, and the search for home.
